Custom Undercoat Rake & Thinning Comb for Private Label & Wholesale
Essential for long and double-coated breeds — a well-established, steady seller.
- Curved stainless teeth
- Non-slip handle
- Undercoat and dematting
- Four head configurations
Product Overview
Long-coated and double-coated breeds shed an undercoat that a normal comb cannot reach, and the mats that form underneath have to be opened rather than pulled. This rake handles both jobs: curved stainless teeth slide down to the undercoat and lift loose hair out, while the curve lets the tooth pass through a mat instead of dragging the dog's skin with it. The handle is non-slip, because the grooming stroke needs pull, not grip strength.
It is a steady, unglamorous seller - the kind of tool an owner replaces rather than experiments with, which is why it holds its place on a shelf year after year. Tooth count, curve angle and handle material are all open, so the same tool can be specified as a light home comb or a heavier professional rake.

Who This Product Suits
Grooming salons
A working tool bought in multiples and replaced on wear, rather than a one-off purchase.
Breed-specific brands
Tooth count and curve angle can be tuned for a specific coat, which is a credible reason for a brand to exist.
Ecommerce bundles
Pairs naturally with a slicker brush and a deshedding glove in a grooming set.
Distributors
Four head configurations share one handle and one packaging format, so a range fills a shelf without four separate setups.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the four head configurations?
A single-row rake is the general undercoat tool. The double-sided head puts dematting blades on one face and comb teeth on the other. The twin-row rake combines long and short teeth to reach two coat depths in one pass. The T-profile rake gives a wider working width for large breeds.
Can we order more than one head configuration in the same run?
Yes, and it is usually the sensible thing to do. They share a handle and a packaging format, so splitting one order across configurations is far cheaper than four separate orders. The per-configuration break is confirmed when we quote.
Is the tooth count something we can actually change?
Yes. Tooth count and curve angle are the two specifications that most change how the tool feels in use, and both are open. Changing them may involve a tooling cost, which we quote separately and state plainly before you commit.
Has this passed sharp-edge testing?
No test report is on file for this product today, so we do not describe it as certified. Sharp-point and sharp-edge assessment can be arranged before shipment at an agreed cost, which is worth doing if you are selling into the EU or UK.
What packaging options are there?
A printed hang card is the usual retail format, and a plain polybag is standard for bulk or salon supply. We can also run a colour box where the tool is sold as part of a grooming set. Carton quantities are confirmed in the quotation.
