Product Overview
A dematting knife is a professional salon tool, and groomers buy on blade geometry rather than on packaging. Curved stainless blades cut through a mat from the outside in, with a non-slip handle that stays controllable in a wet hand.
Blade count, curvature, left or right-hand orientation and handle material are specified per order. Blade edge finishing is what separates a tool that cuts from one that tears, and it is checked against an approved master sample at inspection. Blade guards and a care instruction card are recommended for retail versions.

Who This Product Suits
Professional groomers
Dematting tools are bought on performance, not price - a blade that drags gets returned, and a groomer will pay for one that does not.
Double-coated breed owners
Huskies, retrievers and shepherds shed an undercoat a normal comb cannot reach, which is a large and well-defined audience to sell to.
Grooming kits
Pairs naturally with a slicker brush and a deshedding glove, and the rake is usually the piece that sells the set.
Distributors
Several head configurations share one handle and one pack format, so a range fills a shelf without four separate setups.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the minimum order quantity?
We start at 100 pieces. The real figure moves with the specification - a colour change sits at the low end, while a custom mould, a bespoke size ladder or a new formulation needs more volume to be worth running. Your exact MOQ is confirmed in the quotation rather than guessed at here.
How is a dematting tool different from a comb?
A comb passes through a coat that is already loose. A dematting tool has to open a mat that is already formed, which is why the teeth are curved or bladed - the curve lets the tooth cut through the mat instead of dragging the skin with it. They sell alongside each other rather than against each other.
Can we change the tooth count and angle?
Yes, and these are the two specifications that most change how the tool performs. Both are open. Changing them may involve tooling, which we quote separately and state plainly before you commit.
Can we see a sample before we commit?
Yes, two ways. If the item is a stock design you pay the shipping only, with any customs charges billed at cost. For a customised sample we need about 15 days to build it, with 70% of the sample cost up front and the balance on approval. The approved sample becomes the production standard.
Are the blades safe for retail sale?
No third-party report is on file by default, so we do not call them certified. Sharp-edge assessment, nickel release on the steel head and REACH screening on the handle can all be arranged before shipment at an agreed cost.
